New Program Enables Partners to Verify That Their SuiteApps Have Been Built To Meet the SuiteCloud Platform's Development Standards and Documented Best Practices
NETSUITE SUITEWORLD 2013, SAN JOSE, Calif.—May 14, 2013—NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP software suites, today announced Built for NetSuite, a new program for SuiteCloud Developer Network (SDN) partners that provides them with information, resources and a method to verify that their applications and integrations, built using the NetSuite SuiteCloud Computing Platform, meet new NetSuite standards and best practices of development defined and documented for the SuiteCloud development platform. The Built for NetSuite program is designed to give NetSuite customers additional confidence that SuiteApps have been built to meet these standards.
Since the launch of the NetSuite SuiteCloud Development Network program in 2009, NetSuite has built a robust partner ecosystem spanning a huge spectrum of industries—manufacturing, wholesale distribution, social, ecommerce, retail, services, and more. Thus far, the SDN program has added more than 300 partners and enabled over 270 SuiteApps. More SuiteApps are in development. The inaugural partners that have been verified by the "Built for NetSuite" program include Autodesk, Box, Dell Boomi, Pitney Bowes, Merchant e-Solutions, ERP Guru, TribeHR, and SPS Commerce.
To participate in Built for NetSuite, partners are required to review their SuiteApp against NetSuite's standards and submit to NetSuite their verification of their SuiteApp's compliance with the documented practices for architecture, development, privacy and security. After the Built for NetSuite team reviews the partner's SuiteApp submission for completeness and appropriateness, partners must provide a demonstration of the product and/or positive customer references. The SuiteApp may then be awarded the Built for NetSuite badge. Partners will repeat the verification semi-annually in sync with the NetSuite product release cycle in order to maintain their Built for NetSuite badge.
"SuiteApps are popular among customers looking to enrich the NetSuite platform with specific functionality to meet their unique business needs, from reducing operational costs to improving internal efficiencies and opening new revenue streams," said Guido Haarmans, Vice President of Business Development for Technology Partners at NetSuite. "The Built for NetSuite program allows partners to give our customers an additional degree of confidence that they have double checked their SuiteApps against NetSuite's guidelines for quality, security and privacy and deliver value as part of an integrated NetSuite environment."
NetSuite partner application (SuiteApps) can be found on SuiteApp.com, the online marketplace that showcases more than 270 third-party applications with industry—and business-specific capabilities to extend NetSuite.
