SAN MATEO, CA.—January 8, 2004—NetSuite, Inc., today announced a major step in expanding its management team by bringing on board Michael R. Williams as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Williams will lead both direct and channel sales teams to further grow the company's revenues and broaden the distribution of the company's award-winning product offerings including NetSuite, Oracle Small Business Suite, NetERP and NetCRM. The Oracle Small Business Suite name is used under license from Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL).
Williams served as Senior Vice President of Exodus Communications (now a part of Cable & Wireless), where he joined the company as employee number 20 and built one of the most successful sales organisations in the high tech industry. During his tenure at Exodus, he grew sales from $0 to $300 million in four years, grew the sales organization from 3 sales executives to 175 sales personnel, executed aggressive sales growth plans adding over 2,000 new customers over a four-year period, and tripled the average annual revenue per customer. At Exodus, Williams led a high performance sales organization that consistently beat its sales plans and established Exodus as one of the nation's premier technology services companies. Most recently, Williams served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at ZANTAZ, the leading provider of compliance technology and electronic discovery solutions. While at ZANTAZ, Williams’ strategy and leadership led to the company’s rapid growth in its customer base and revenues. Williams served as Regional Sales Director for WorldCom Corporation before joining Exodus. He began his sales career at Cable & Wireless Communications. Williams holds a BBA in International Business, and a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
